Big Horn Community Recreation & Early Learning Center
Big Horn is a close-knit Wyoming community that values youth, health, and connection. However, the community faces a growing challenge:
This is more than just a building – it’s a catalyst for health, education, and unity. By combining recreation and education, we will:
"This facility would change the game for our kids—not just athletically, but for their overall health and development."
Our Early Learning Center will provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to grow and thrive. The center will focus on early childhood education, providing children with the skills and foundation needed to succeed in school and beyond. Key features of the center include:
"These classrooms will shape the lives of our youngest residents for generations to come."
The Big Horn Community Recreation & Early Learning Center is a dual-purpose facility aimed at improving the health, education, and recreational needs of our community. It will serve as a hub for physical activities, sports, and early childhood education.
Upon hitting a predefined funding goal, we will begin the process of breaking ground.
The facility will be open to Big Horn K-12 and the entire community, with specific spaces dedicated to early childhood education programs through Sheridan County School District #1. Families and individuals of all ages will be able to enjoy sports, fitness programs, and recreational activities.
You can support the development by donating to our fundraising campaign. We also encourage local businesses, organizations, and individuals to get involved by sponsoring programs, events, or contributing in-kind services.
At this point, entirely through private donations.
The Big Horn Baseball Club - a non-profit 501(c)(3) - is leading this effort. Having accomplished the development and construction of the baseball and little guy football fields at Big Horn, this is our next endeavor! If you would like to reach out to a member you can contact Jay Martinson, Travis Todd, Kendra Barney, or Nick Zent.
Upon completion of construction, the facility will be owned, operated, and maintained by Sheridan County Recreation District #1.
