Early Learning Center

Our Early Learning Center will provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to grow and thrive. The center will focus on early childhood education, providing children with the skills and foundation needed to succeed in school and beyond. Key features of the center include:

  • Over 4000 sq ft of purpose built early learning space.
  • State-of-the-art classrooms designed for early childhood education.

1. What is the Big Horn Community Recreation & Early Learning Center?

The Big Horn Community Recreation & Early Learning Center is a dual-purpose facility aimed at improving the health, education, and recreational needs of our community. It will serve as a hub for physical activities, sports, and early childhood education.

2. When will the center be built and open for use?

Upon hitting a predefined funding goal, we will begin the process of breaking ground.

3. Who will have access to the recreation center and early learning spaces?

The facility will be open to Big Horn K-12 and the entire community, with specific spaces dedicated to early childhood education programs through Sheridan County School District #1. Families and individuals of all ages will be able to enjoy sports, fitness programs, and recreational activities.

4. How can I support the development of the center?

You can support the development by donating to our fundraising campaign. We also encourage local businesses, organizations, and individuals to get involved by sponsoring programs, events, or contributing in-kind services.

5. How is this being funded?

At this point, entirely through private donations.

6. Who is leading this effort?

The Big Horn Baseball Club - a non-profit 501(c)(3) - is leading this effort. Having accomplished the development and construction of the baseball and little guy football fields at Big Horn, this is our next endeavor! 7. Who will own the Recreation Center?

Upon completion of construction, the facility will be owned, operated, and maintained by Sheridan County Recreation District #1.
