Breaking Ground Together

Today, the Big Horn community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Big Horn Recreation & Early Learning Center. Students, families, and neighbors gathered at the site to mark this milestone for a place dedicated to learning, recreation, and community connection.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all who have helped bring this project to this moment. We’re excited to share the progress ahead!

Recreation District Approves Transfer Agreement

CUP Submitted

The Big Horn Baseball Club has submitted a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to Sheridan County for the proposed facility.

WYDOT Preliminary Approval

WYDOT has reviewed the traffic plans for the facility with access/exit on Wyoming Highway 335 and issued a preliminary approval letter.

Community Meeting

On August 6, 2025 from 6:00-7:30pm at the Big Horn Women's Club there will be a community meeting to discuss the vision of the proposed Big Horn Recreation Center.
